Academic Operations & Digital Transformation Leader

Universities run on systems. I make them talk to each other.

12+ years building and running the technology behind higher education: a college's digital foundation, an online-education vertical built from scratch at MAHE, and today a three-university product portfolio serving 50,000+ students.

About

I started as a lecturer who fixed the college's systems. Now I design the systems that run universities.

For seven years at Bhandarkars' Arts & Science College I taught while building the institution's digital foundation: automated admissions, exams, attendance and certificates, plus ten live-teaching studios during the pandemic.

At MAHE's Directorate of Online Education I built the online-education technology vertical from scratch, managing a 10-member team, 10+ vendors and a ₹20+ crore infrastructure programme.

At UNext Learning I own product work across the whole student journey: CRM, finance integrations, digital lending, AI voice, telephony and regulatory workflows for three universities.

Integration thinking

CRM, finance, lending, telephony and regulatory systems connected through APIs with clear source-of-truth ownership.

Domain depth

Admissions, scholarships, examinations, LMS and UGC-DEB compliance, learned from inside the institutions.

Delivery discipline

150+ SOPs, 100+ UAT cycles and 100+ releases. Launches are followed through to stabilisation.

People across the table

University leadership, finance teams, counsellors, faculty and external implementation partners aligned on one plan.

Deep dives

Ten systems, and the call that shaped each one.

Every project hinges on one product decision. These show the context, what I owned, the hardest trade-off and how I proved it worked.

Shipped

More platforms, programmes and transformations.

Finance and communication products, academic programmes, governance and institution-wide rollouts. Each card names the decision behind it.

How I work

From a messy requirement to a stable system.

The same delivery loop runs underneath every project here, whether the system is a lender API or an exam workflow.

01

Discover

Sit with admissions, finance and counsellors to find where the work really breaks.

02

Decide

Make the product call: what to standardise, what stays university-specific, who owns the data.

03

Design

Field mappings, triggers, payloads, journeys and exception paths, written down before build.

04

Validate

Joint UAT with partners: payload, mapping, downstream record and reconciliation, then retest.

05

Launch

Batch or phased go-live with SOPs, so operations teams can run it without me.

06

Stabilise

Watch exceptions, close defects and redesign the workflows that keep failing.
